As mentioned in the June blog, The City of Ontario was recognized as a finalist among 20 other cities in the nation for the All-America City Award. Healthy Ontario along with City staff, residents and community leader Nora Beltran traveled to Denver, Colorado for the awards competition and conference to present our story to a jury of national civic experts. Although Ontario was not chosen as one of the ten winners for the All-America City, we learned new strategies for engagement and innovative programs and most importantly, we made new connections!
Healthy Ontario is proud of the work we have done together and we are proud of our community! We are not giving up, and will be applying for the next All-America City Award competition.
